We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to oversee a team of engineers for our tech consulting services company. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the team, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with high quality.
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of engineers, providing coaching, guidance, and mentorship to ensure that they are motivated, engaged, and productive.
Collaborate with project managers and business analysts to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with high quality.
Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and resource allocations, and ensure that they are executed effectively.
Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential issues.
Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
Ensure that development processes and methodologies are followed, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the development team.
Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and continuous learning within the development team.
Ensure that the team adheres to client expectations, communication protocols, and project management methodologies.
Manage personnel issues such as performance reviews, feedback, and recognition.
Perform interviews and onboarding of new employees
Monitor engineering team’s activity and ensure billable targets are met
Qualifications:
At least 10 years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of software development methodologies, tools, and techniques.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience managing software developers is a must.
Experience in the technology consulting industry is a must.
